Alabama State Flags

Browse this selection of Alabama state flags, and learn a little history. It is a very simple flag, consisting of a red cross of St. Andrew on a field of white. It is believed by many that it is designed to resemble the Confederate flag; it also bears resemblance to multiple flags, including the flag of St. Patrick, the Spanish Cross of Burgundy flag and the Florida state flag. The one variant of the flag is the governor's flag, which has the state coat of arms in the top section of the flag and the state military crest in the bottom section.
