Kansas State Flags

Kansas state flags are among some of the most interesting in the United States. With a blue background, this flag was originally designed for horizontal hanging. When that method of hanging proved too difficult and cumbersome, the current version was accepted. The state seal in the center holds many important symbols including commerce, American expansion and agriculture. Above the seal is a sunflower, the state flower. Below the seal in capital letters is the state's name "KANSAS."
