does anyone knpw who designed the alabama state flag?

(the flag that is a white square or rectangle with a red X over it) no, that was the sucession convention flag, i'm talking about the alabama state flag.

It was designed by a group of Montgomery women, for more information visit http://www.netstate.com/states/symb/flags/al_flag.htm okay how about it was created under the administration of Governor William Oates. Oates was a former regimental commander in the ANV. He is most famous for leading the confederate assault on Little Round Top at the Battle of Gettysburg. Try the link in the sources :)
