American State Flags

in your opinion which state has the prettiest flag?

I think arizona's flag is the prettiest..tell me what you think?

1. ohio! its the only pennant-shaped one!!!
2. Maryland, by far. It is composed of the coat of arms of the Calvert family and the Crossland family. And I personally find Arizona's boring. And the North American Vexillogy Association (vexillogy is the study of flags) finds the best designed flag to be New Mexico's.
3. South Carolina! its simple but nice. It has a palm tree in the middle and a crescent moon to the left. I love palm trees and crescent moons so it looks beautiful to me.
4. Ohio's because it is the only flag to not be shaped like a rectangle.
5. Unfortunately there are few worthwhile state flags. Only about a third of the states bothered to do anything more than shove their state seal on a blue flag (sometimes white, in one case green) with the result that most people couldn't tell the difference anyway, unless you let them get close enough to read the state's name off the seal (in most cases you would pretty much have to be holding it in your hands to do this). The flags that have been named so far are among the third that actually showed some imagination in their designs, but none of them are really to my tastes, as I like simpler flags (which Maryland and Ohio definitely aren't) with simpler symbols (not entire palm trees like South Carolina's) - So I'm inclined to choose either Texas or Rhode Island. And considering Rhode Island is, I think far more original, I go with it.
