North Carolina State Flags
![]() North Carolina state flags feature a red bar and white bar, and on the left side, a blue field representing the Bonnie Blue Flag used as a symbol of secession during the Civil War. The blue field features two banners, one inscribed "May 20th 1775," the date of the so-called Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence, and the other inscribed "April 20th 1776," the date of the Halifax Resolves. Between the state initials "N" and "C," there is a five-pointed star; while many state flags have five-pointed stars, only a few, including Arizona flags, have just one star. Show your pride in the Tar Heel State by buying and displaying one of these North Carolina state flags. |
