Washington State Flags

Washington state flags stand out as unique among the flags of the other 50 states. The state flag of the Evergreen State is the only state flag which is green in color, and also the only one depicting a President. The State of Washington was admitted to the union in 1889, but did not adopt its state flag until 1923. The green field of the flag features an image of the head of George Washington in the center. The Washington state flag is truly one-of-a-kind, paying tribute to the first President of the United States, and makes a great addition to any flag collection or commemoration of the state of Washington.
